El Destino: A Fundraising Event for the Remodeling of Fort San Pedro
*Disclaimer: This is not a real event or activity. This is just a class project.
This is a project done for HUMAART (Art Appreciation) class. We were tasked to select an architecture that needs to be restored, renovated, or remodeled, research the historical significance of this architecture, and create a proposal for restoring, renovating, or remodeling it. All of these should be compiled in a creative output.
We selected the architecture, Fort San Pedro in Iloilo City. What remains of this fort is the statue of Christ and the ruins of the fort. We proposed a fundraising event for this architecture.
Our creative output is an pop-up book invitation. All graphics are designed by me (except the statue of Christ and the butterfly on the festival masks), but modeled from real pictures I looked up in the internet. The color choice was themed Spanish Festival since the fort was erected during the Spanish colonization period.
Dancing Penguins
I saw these paper-penguins I made around two years ago displayed somewhere in my dad’s office. I made these for our final project for our robotics class. We’re asked to program the robots to dance and put “costumes.” The metal one’s supposed to be a “broken” robo-penguin (see the broken wires on it’s brain?). And the other one’s a colorful (gay-looking) penguin.
Daycraft Notebook Doodle #1
“Brain Drained of Creativity”
I haven’t doodled or been creative in a long time, guess I was too busy lately. This is how I picture my brain right now: imagination’s leaking and it has cobwebs since it hasn’t been used for something creative. The webs kinda look bit awkward, doesn’t it?
Black Moleskine Doodle #8 “Waking Up with Monsters Surrounding You” Another monster doodle. I doodled this almost everywhere. Doodled some monsters at home, school, work, coffee shops, and others. Actually, I doodled this months ago. Just didn’t have the time to scan it and upload it. Seriously, I miss doodling. Enjoy more monsters!
snoo-snoo asked: loved your sketches =D follow =D
love you works too, especially the pokemons…now I miss playing pokemon :)
Black Moleskine Doodle #7
“Robots”
I did the same concept for a friend before in a transparent acrylic sheet. Since I didn’t take a picture of it and she still hasn’t taken a picture of it, I decided to draw a similar doodle again and post it.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the fireworks.
“Fireworks”
Since I was doodling the Robots in the 31st of January, I also drew fireworks.
Black Moleskine Doodle #6
“Pandas (Practice Doodle)”
Since I didn’t take up any formal drawing classes or whatever, I must practice drawings first to make sure they look a little like the real ones. I owe a friend of mine a Panda doodle, since she gave me a present for Christmas, and I didn’t get her anything. So, here are my practice sketches of pandas eating siomai and noodles. Any comments and suggestions?
Black Moleskine Doodle #5
“Monsters!”
For me, doodling random monsters is the easiest and most fun thing to do! Whatever shape that pops out of your mind, I drew it. Whatever size and number of eyes i suddenly think of, that’s what i draw. Whatever other features I feel like drawing, I draw them. If I can’t think of anything else to doodle, I’ll would doodle more random monsters! Enjoy!
Black Moleskine Doodle #4
“Manikins in White Polo”
Since i spend my New Year in a hotel room in Makati, to avoid our noisy neighbors’ fireworks and never-ending-drunk karaoke singing, i thought of what will you see when you walk along the streets of Makati on a regular day. Almost everyone will be in business attire. Since I’m not good in sketching faces, they all look like manikins.:)
Black Moleskine Doodle #3
“3d Rectangular Boxes”
This may look weird, that’s because I was too lazy to color it that’s why it doesn’t make any sense. I just wanted to draw objects in isometric view just like what we do in our GRAPONE (Engineering Graphics), and boxes seemed to be the easiest thing to draw.
